Course Description:
This course introduces students to the foundational principles and methodologies of Quranic exegesis (Tafsir). It provides a comprehensive overview of the Quranic text, its historical context, and the various approaches to its interpretation.Students will develop a strong foundation in the Arabic language necessary for Quranic studies and will be exposed to classical and contemporary tafsir methodologies.
Course Objectives:
Develop a solid understanding of the Quranic text and its structure.
Master essential Arabic language skills for Quranic interpretation.
Explore the historical and cultural context of Quranic revelation.
Analyze different tafsir methodologies and their underlying principles.
Apply tafsir knowledge to practical understanding of Quranic messages.

Introduction to Quranic sciences (Ulum al-Quran)
Arabic language skills for Quranic studies
The historical and social context of Quranic revelation
